About the role

Your role as an Underwriting Case Manager is to ensure your customer's policy goes on risk. This means completing an application with them, detailing all information the insurance company may need to assess the suitability of the application.  You will also liaise with doctor's surgeries to get medical information to help process your customer's policy and also keep your customer up to date with any decisions from the Insurance Company.   You'll be the main point of contact for your customer and when dealing with crucial products like Life or Health insurance you'll be the one to take your customer through each of the steps to getting their policy on risk.

 

You'll have a lot of responsibility in this role but you'll enjoy that challenge as you know the difference these policies can make to someone's life.  You'll be focused on the detail as you know that without all details the Insurance Company cannot properly assess the risk. You also know that sometimes you'll have to handle sensitive medical information but that doesn't faze you, and neither does some of the medical terminology you'll need to use.

 

You don't have to have any insurance or medical experience as we'll give you all the training you need to excel in this role.  You do, however, need to be able to juggle several cases at once and you will need to be able to keep on top of the requests from customers and insurers.

Salary : £18,000 - £20,000 (dependant on experience)
